Piroxicam 20mg Capsules

Piroxicam is a nonsteroid anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) and an anti-tumor medication used primarily to treat bladder transitional cell carcinoma, as well as other cancers, such as squamous cell carcinoma, mammary adenocarcinoma, inflammatory mammary carcinoma, and transmissible venereal tumors. Piroxicam may also be prescribed for arthritic pain and inflammation.

Piroxicam is currently not FDA approved as a veterinary medication. However, it is readily utilized in the veterinary field as an anti-cancer treatment, and veterinarians can legally prescribe certain human drugs for use in animals in certain circumstances. This is called extra-label or off-label use because this use isn’t described on the drug label.
