Description
Advantage Multi for Cats is a broad-spectrum topical solution prescribed by veterinarians to provide pet parents with a convenient monthly application to help protect their cat or ferret from pesky parasites. This easy-to-use solution works to kill adult fleas, treat and control ear mites, roundworm and hookworms—it may also help to prevent heartworm disease in some cats and ferrets.
How It's Used
Advantage Multi for Cats is indicated for the prevention of heartworm disease caused by Dirofilaria Immitis in cats and ferrets 2 pounds or over. Advantage Multi for Cats kills adult fleas (Ctenocephalides felis) and is indicated for the treatment of flea infestations.
Ingredients
Active ingredients: 80 mg Imidacloprid (10%), 8 mg Moxidectin (1%)
Possible Side Effects
Contact your veterinarian if your cat or ferret experiences pruritus/scratching, scabbing, redness, wounds and inflammation at the treatment site; lethargy; and chemical odor.
Precautions
CAUTION: Federal (U.S.A.) law restricts Advantage Multi® for Cats to use by or on the order of a licensed veterinarian. WARNINGS: Do not use on sick or debilitated cats or ferrets. Do not use on underweight cats. (see ADVERSE REACTIONS). Do not use on cats less than 9 weeks of age or less than 2 lbs body weight. Do not use on ferrets less than 2 lbs body weight. PRECAUTIONS: Avoid oral ingestion. HUMAN WARNINGS: Children should not come in contact with the application site for 30 minutes after application.
Storage Instructions
Store at temperatures between 4°C (39°F) and 25°C (77°F), avoiding excess heat or cold.
