Apoquel (oclacitinib) Tablets, 3.6mg, provide an effective solution for managing itching and inflammation in dogs caused by allergic dermatitis. This medication offers rapid relief within hours and is suitable for long-term use, ensuring your pet enjoys a comfortable, itch-free life. Trusted by veterinarians, Apoquel is renowned for its efficacy and safety in treating various types of dermatitis in dogs.
Apoquel is available in both oral and chewable tablet forms. Unlike other allergy medications, it targets the source of irritation, relieving itch and inflammation by addressing the underlying causes. It begins to alleviate symptoms within 4 hours and controls itching effectively within 24 hours.
How Apoquel® Works?
The active component of Apoquel® is oclacitinib, which is classified as a Janus kinase (JAK1) inhibitor. The mechanism of action of Apoquel® is to inhibit the actions of Janus kinase, a crucial signal that causes inflammation and itching in dogs with allergies.
This lessens the cellular source of itching and minimizes the impact of some inflammatory signals in the body. Consequently, dogs with allergies who receive Apoquel® experience reduced itching and scratching. Allergy-induced skin irritation is also reduced.
