Mirtazapine Tablets, 7.5 mg
Originally developed as a prescription medication for depression in humans, Mirtazapine is now also commonly used for dogs and cats to stimulate appetite and relieve nausea associated with various diseases, such as liver and kidney disease, intestinal and stomach disease, and chemotherapy.
Possible Side Effects
Potential side effects of Mirtazapine include a possible decrease in blood pressure, increased heart rate, drowsiness, and serotonin syndrome. In rare cases, this medication may also cause abnormalities in blood cell production in the bone marrow, so extra monitoring tests may be necessary for pets with preexisting blood diseases.
