Profender is a broad-spectrum deworming medication that effectively removes the most common intestinal worms infecting cats. Because it’s an easy to apply topical (spot-on), it removes the hassle and stress that comes along with giving a cat a pill. It is FDA-approved safe to effectively treat and control roundworms, hookworms and tapeworms. Profender contains two active ingredients: emodepside and praziquantel. Emodepside is an ingredient found only in Profender and is effective against adult and immature stages of roundworms and hookworms. Praziquantel, an ingredient used in several other effective deworming products, effectively removes tapeworms. The active ingredients in Profender are absorbed topically through your cat's skin, reaching the intestinal tract to kill and remove worms.
