Directions For Use

Moisten pellets with water before feeding. Feed tortoises 6+ months old three times a week. For hatchlings, use Grassland Tortoise Food Crumbles. Adjust the amount offered as needed.  For variety, mix with fresh greens and vegetables. Always provide clean drinking water. Store in a cool, dry area.

Is this suitable for a Red-foot tortoise?

The Grassland tortoise food can be fed to a redfoot tortoise. However we recommend the Zoo Med Natural Forest Tortoise Food that would be more appropriate for a redfoot tortoise.

I’m trying to find something my sulcata tortoise will eat besides romaine lettuce. Will they eat this ? Need to find something else for Carl to eat. He’s eating 6-8 heads of lettuce a day right now.

These pellets are formulated for all Grassland Tortoise species, such as Russian, Greek, Sulcata, Leopard, Pancake, Hermann’s and Desert Tortoises.

Can Indian Star tortoises eat these, they are considered grassland tortoises?

The time it will take to deplete a jar will depend on how much your individual tortoise eats. It is recommended to feed free choice and change daily.

At this time, this tortoise food is available in a 15-ounce jar and a 60-ounce jar.
