The Algae Cleaning Magnets are an easy solution to effectively remove algae from inside of the aquarium walls. One piece has a scrubbing side for removing algae inside of the aquarium, while the other part magnetically attaches from the outside. Each algae cleaning magnet comes with one pad for glass aquariums and one pad for acrylic aquariums. The inside scrubber magnet is bottom-weighted that will fall straight down if separated. The bowed bottom design allows the scrub pad to rest above the gravel for easy retrieval while reducing the risk of scratching the aquarium walls. Three different sizes to accommodate various glass and acrylic aquariums.

Can you leave it in the tank
This product is safe to be left in the tank. If the magnets become separated, the inner cleaning magnet will sink to the bottom of the tank for easy retrieval instead of floating away.

Will this magnet leave any scratch marks on the aquarium?
The magnet itself will not leave scratch marks in the aquarium. However, if it traps gravel or sand substrate between itself and the glass. This could cause scratching. For best results, clean only within 1/2" of the substrate with the cleaning magnet.

Can the fish be left in the tank when you use this?
It's safe to leave your fish in the tank when using this magnet.

Will this work for bow front tank?
This can be used for bow front tanks.

Will this work for a small plastic fish tank?
This magnet was made to remove algae from the walls of glass or acrylic aquariums and will not work on plastic.

What size should I get for a 10 gallon tank?
The Small is for up to 20 gallons, Medium is for up to 125 gallons, Large is for up to 300 gallons.

What thickness of glass will the magnet work through? the glass on my aquarium is very thick. About 1/8-1/4". Will it work through glass like that?
This cleaning magnet is ideal for glass or acrylic aquariums up to 3/8" thickness.

I am getting a 10 gallon tank. Trying to decide if I should get a small or medium. What are the dimensions of each? Are the magnet strengths the same?
The small is 4.6 x 2.5 x 0.25 inches, the medium is 4.5 x 2.5 x 0.6 inches, and the large 5.2 x 3 x 1.2 inches.
