Product Description
Atropine Ointment helps treat corneal ulcers and other painful conditions associated with the eye. Atropine Ointment can also be used to dialate the pupil when there is an inflammatory issue or in post-surgery situations. Atropine Ointment is a parasympathetic that causes the eye muscles to relax while paralyzing the sphincter muscles of the iris of the eye, resulting in pupil dialation.
Possible Side Effects
Atropine can cause animals to salivate if it gets into their mouths. Atropine may decrease tear production. If the pet receives too much atropine, dry mouth, constipation and vomiting may occur along with changes in heart rate and rhythm, increase in body temperature and the inability to urinate. Other side effects may occur. If you notice anything unusual, contact your veterinarian.
