Product Description

Bute (Phenylbute^®) Paste is for the relief of inflammatory conditions associated with the musculoskeletal system in horses. Phenylzone^® Paste is a synthetic, nonhormonal, anti-inflammatory, antipyretic compound useful in the management of inflammatory conditions. The apparent analgesic effect is probably related mainly to the compound's anti-inflammatory properties. Available in a 60 gram syringe with a marked dosage plunger.

Possible Side Effects

Use with caution in horses who have a history of drug allergy.

Recommended Dosage

Use as directed by your veterinarian. For horses only: Administer orally (using the 0.6 ounce {18 mL} scoop provided) on a small amount of palatable feed and mix well. Give one to two level scoops per 500 pounds of body weight, but do not exceed four scoops per animal daily. Use the high dose for the first 48 hours, then gradually reduce to maintenance dose.

Storage Instructions

Store at controlled room temperatures between 59° - 86°F.
