Key Benefits:

  • Broad-spectrum antibiotic activity: Clindamycin is proving effective through its broad range of gram-positive activities, including some anaerobes, which makes it widely applicable to a wide range of infections in fish.
  • Skin Infections: It works great for skin wounds caused by viruses, open wounds, and abscesses in cats due to its antiseptic properties, which speed healing
  • Clindamycin is indicated in the treatment of internal infections caused by susceptible bacteria, including but not limited to the digestive tract.
  • Treatment of diarrhea and arthritis: Useful in the treatment of diarrhea, soft tissue infections, and tuberculosis which may be caused by invasive bacteria.
  • Anti-inflammatory effects: Clindamycin can reduce inflammation associated with infections thus improving both health and comfort for cats.
  • Less effect on beneficial bacteria: For the most part, clindamycin has little effect on beneficial bacteria in the aquatic environment, unlike some other antibiotics widespread, and potentially destructive to the ecosystem.
