Water-Soluble Liquid Joint Formula with Micro-Sized Chondroitin and Hyaluronic Acid
Product Description
Corta-Flx Solution is a water-soluble liquid joint and connective tissue supplement for horses delivering micro-sized, isolated joint nutrients in a cherry-flavored, palatable formula. Key active ingredients are all micro-sized for maximum passage through cellular walls and direct delivery to joint tissue. Mix with daily feed or give orally.
Benefits
- Micro-Sized Nutrients for Maximum Absorption: Active ingredients are isolated and reduced to a micro-sized form that passes through cellular walls more effectively, delivering nutrients directly to joint tissue.
- Chondroitin Sulfate for Joint Structure: Chondroitin sulfate supports the function of cartilage and connective tissue, helping maintain the cushioning and shock-absorption properties of the joint during daily work.
- Hyaluronic Acid for Joint Lubrication: Hyaluronic acid at 50mg per fl oz supports the viscosity of synovial fluid inside the joint, contributing to smooth movement.
- Yucca for Normal Inflammatory Response: Yucca extract is included to help maintain a normal inflammatory response in the joints, supporting comfort and mobility in horses in regular work or competition.
- Vitamin C for Immune and Connective Tissue: Ascorbic acid supports proper immune function and plays a direct role in collagen synthesis, which underpins the structural integrity of connective tissue throughout the joint.

Dosage and Administration Instructions
- Shake well before each use: Shake the bottle before measuring each dose; active ingredients can settle between uses and an unshaken bottle delivers an uneven dose.
- Mix with daily feed or give orally: Add the measured dose directly to the horse's daily feed at mealtime, or administer orally using a dosing syringe if preferred.
Additional Information
Precautions
- Not for ruminants: Federal law prohibits the off-label use of this product in ruminants; it is labeled for use in horses only.

- Safe use in pregnant animals not proven: Safety in pregnant mares has not been established; consult your veterinarian before use in these cases.
Storage Instructions
- Protect from freezing: Do not store where temperatures drop below freezing; freezing can separate ingredients and permanently alter the effectiveness of the liquid formula.
- Store in a cool location: Keep the bottle away from direct sunlight and excessive heat between uses to maintain the stability and potency of the active ingredients.
- Keep cap tightly closed: Replace the cap firmly after each use to prevent contamination and evaporation of the solution between doses.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q1: What does "micro-sized, water-soluble" mean for a joint supplement?
Ans: For any oral joint supplement to work, the active ingredients need to actually reach the joint, not just pass through the digestive tract. Larger molecules often can't cross the cellular walls that sit between the gut and the joint tissue, so they exit without doing much. Making the ingredients smaller and water-soluble means more of what's in the bottle gets to where it's supposed to go.
Q2: Is this the same as the Corta-Flx Powder formula?
Ans: Same active ingredients, different format. The Solution is a water-soluble cherry-flavored liquid that goes directly into the feed or can be given orally. The Powder is alfalfa-based and gets sprinkled over feed. The liquid tends to be the better fit for horses where faster absorption is the priority or where mixing a powder into feed isn't practical.
Q3: Can this be mixed directly into water?
Ans: It's water-soluble and built to go into the horse's daily feed. You can also mix it into a small amount of water first and then add that to the feed if that works better for you. Putting it in a water bucket on its own isn't a reliable way to dose, there's no guarantee the horse drinks enough to get the full amount.
Q4: Why does the solution need to be shaken before each use?
Ans: Active ingredients in a liquid suspension can settle at the bottom of the bottle when not in use. An unshaken bottle delivers a dose that is lighter on active ingredients; most of the settled material stays in the bottle. Shaking redistributes the settled ingredients evenly in the liquid before each measurement.
Q5: Is this supplement suitable for all horses?
Ans: Yes, for horses of all breeds and classes. Safe use in pregnant mares or horses intended for breeding has not been established, so consult your veterinarian before using in those specific situations. For any horse with a diagnosed joint condition currently under veterinary treatment, confirm with your veterinarian before starting.
