Nobivac Feline 1-HCP + FeLV Vaccine | Complete Protection

The Nobivac Feline 1-HCP+FeLV vaccine protects against four major feline diseases, which are Feline Rhinotracheitis, Calicivirus, Panleukopenia, and Feline Leukemia Virus. This combination vaccine helps in preventing severe respiratory infections, gastrointestinal diseases, and leukemia in cats. Thus, it is considered essential in the feline preventive care system. It can be used both in kittens and adult cats and is, therefore, highly recommended for multiple-cat households, outdoor cats, and cats highly exposed to FeLV.

Benefits:

  • 4-in-1 Protection: Protects against FVR, FCV, FPV, and FeLV.
  • Prevents Feline Leukemia: Protects cats from FeLV, one of the leading causes of fatal feline diseases.
  • Long-Term Health: Reduces risk for severe respiratory and gastrointestinal infections.
  • Safe for Kittens & Adults: Appropriate for cats of all ages pending veterinary advice.
  • Perfect for At-Risk Cats: Best suited for outdoor cats, multi-cat households, and rescue cats.

Why is Nobivac Feline 1-HCP + FeLV important for my cat?

It protects against life-threatening feline diseases, including FeLV, which is a leading cause of immune suppression and cancer in cats.

How often should my cat receive this vaccine?

Kittens usually receive an initial series with boosters, followed by annual or triennial revaccination based on veterinarian recommendations.

Dosage & Administration:

Before use, warm the Nobivac Feline 2-FeLV to room temperature and shake well. Transfer the contents of the Nobivac Feline 2-FeLV vial and transfer its contents to the Nobivac Feline 1-HCP vial aseptically. Mix gently until dissolved.

Two doses are required for primary immunization.

Initial vaccination: Inject 1 dose (1 mL) subcutaneously or intramuscularly at 9 weeks of age or older.

Second vaccination: Inject 1 dose (1 mL) subcutaneously or intramuscularly 3 to 4 weeks following the initial vaccination.

The presence of maternal antibodies is known to interfere with the development of active immunity in cats and additional boosters will be required in most young animals. Historically, annual revaccination has been recommended for this product. The need for this booster has not been established. For more information on revaccination frequency, in general, or in the face of maternal antibodies, consult your veterinarian or the manufacturer.

Precautions:

  • Store at 2°-8°C (35°-46°F).
  • Do not freeze.
  • Use new, non-chemically sterilized needles and syringes.
  • Do not mix with other products, except as specified on the label.
  • Inactivate unused contents before disposal.
  • In case of human exposure, contact a physician.

Warnings:

  • Contains gentamicin and amphotericin B as preservatives.
  • Some reports suggest that in cats, the administration of certain veterinary biologicals may induce the development of injection-site fibrosarcomas.
  • Do not vaccinate pregnant cats.
  • The use of a biological product may produce anaphylaxis and/or other inflammatory immune-mediated hypersensitivity reactions. Antidote: Epinephrine, corticosteroids, and antihistamines may all be indicated depending on the nature and severity of the reaction.
  • It is important to realize that certain conditions and events may cause some cats to be unable to develop or maintain an adequate immune response following FeLV vaccination. Prior exposure to the disease, or disease latency, are conditions in which vaccination may not alter the course of the disease. Therefore, diagnostic testing of all cats for FeLV antigen before vaccination is recommended. Also, vaccination with this product will not offer cross-protection against feline immunodeficiency virus (FIV), another feline retrovirus. It is important to advise the cat owner of these situations before vaccination.

FAQ

What does Nobivac Feline 1-HCP + FeLv Vaccine protect against?

This vaccine protects against four major diseases of cats, including:

  • Feline Herpesvirus Type 1 (Rhinotracheitis)
  • Calicivirus
  • Panleukopenia (Feline Distemper)
  • Feline Leukemia Virus (FeLv)

How is this vaccine administered?

Subcutaneously administered by a licensed veterinarian.

What age kittens can be vaccinated?

They should be vaccinated for the first time at 9 weeks of age, with a booster in 3-4 weeks. Annual revaccination is recommended for ongoing protection.

Why is FeLv protection important for my cat?

Feline Leukemia Virus: a contagious, sometimes fatal virus causing immune suppression-spread via saliva and shared food bowls, grooming, and direct contact with infected cats. Vaccination is recommended for all outdoor and multi-cat homes.

My indoor cat: does my cat need this vaccine?

While the risk is lower for strictly indoor cats, FeLv can still be transmitted through accidental exposure, such as contact with stray cats or during veterinary visits. Consult your veterinarian to determine if FeLv vaccination is appropriate for your cat.
