How often should horses be vaccinated with Prestige 4?
Horses must receive an initial series of two doses, 3-4 weeks apart, and subsequent annual boosters. High-risk horses, such as those in competition or breeding environments, may need semi-annual boosters as per veterinarian recommendation.
Is Prestige 4 able to be given with other equine vaccines?
Absolutely! Prestige 4 may be used in combination with West Nile Virus, Equine Herpesvirus (EHV-1/4), and Rabies vaccines as part of a comprehensive equine vaccination program. Consult with a veterinarian to determine the best schedule.
Directions for Use:
For primary vaccination aseptically administer 1 mL intramuscularly, and repeat with a single dose in 3 - 4 weeks. Historically, annual revaccination with this product has been recommended. The need for this booster has not been established. The presence of maternal antibodies is known to interfere with the development of active immunity in foals and additional boosters will be required in most young animals. For more information on revaccination frequency consult your veterinarian.
