Shipping Policies

Ground Shipping

Shipping charges are calculated at checkout based on weight and dimensions as well as delivery location.  Refrigerated items cannot be shipped ground. Orders shipping to Hawaii, Alaska, or other US Territories are calculated based on weight and delivery destination.  Ground shipping typically takes between 4-8 business days for delivery. Weather, holidays, or other situations outside of our control may cause delays. 

Certain shipments may require extra shipping cost due to weight or dimensions of the package. If additional shipping is required, your order will be held until we are able to reach you for approval of the additional charges. 

Please note there are a few exceptions for ground shipping: Few items have an additional shipping fee (due to weight and/or dimensions of the product). This will be stated on the item page.  

Priority Shipping

Please note there are a few exceptions for priority shipping: Large or heavy items/orders do not qualify for priority shipping. Restrictions may apply to certain items; these will be marked on the product page. ORM-D items cannot be shipping priority due to mail carrier shipping regulations.

Express Shipping

Express orders are only shipped Monday through Wednesday via FedEx. Orders placed Friday-Sunday will ship on Monday. Express orders cannot be shipped to PO Boxes, please provide a physical address. Please note there are size limits for Express Shipping orders. The entire package cannot weigh more than 10 lbs. If you have selected Express Shipping and your order is too large, your order will be shipped Priority, and you will not be charged the Express Shiping fee. If your order contains temperature-sensitive items and is too large to ship Express, we will contact you. Please make sure to provide a valid phone number so that we can reach you immediately. The cut-off time for these orders to be shipped on the same day they are placed is 2:00 PM EST (11:00 AM PST). Any order placed after that time will be shipped the next applicable business day.

Temperature Sensitive Items

Temperature-sensitive items must be shipped Express. If your order contains a variety of items, temperature-sensitive items may be shipped separately to ensure they are properly shipped. Someone should be present to receive your refrigerated items upon delivery. We are not responsible for temperature-sensitive orders that are delayed because no one is present at the time of delivery or shipments that have been left outside if no one was home to receive the delivery. 


International Shipping

International shipping charges are calculated by weight and destination country. Shipments typically take 7-10 business days for delivery (not including customs processing time) but can take up to 30 days. Returns are not accepted on international orders. We do not ship pet food or prescriptions internationally.

There may be some other restrictions with international orders. Hardy Paw is not responsible for any import duties or taxes. Please know the import laws of your country, Hardy Paw is not responsible for returned, damaged or destroyed packages by customs. Shipping charges will not be refunded on shipments returned by customs. 

We cannot guarantee refrigerated items shipped internationally will stay or arrive cold. Take this into consideration when ordering temperature sensitive items for international shipment and plan accordingly. Refunds or reshipments will not be issued for temperature sensitive international orders.

Pet Food Shipping 

Please note shipping cost on pet food is calculated based on weight and shipping destination. Please allow 7 to 12 business days for ground delivery. Pet food can only be shipped ground and must be shipped to a physical address, we cannot ship pet food to PO Boxes. 

Signature Required Orders 

Please note, orders over $200 will require a signature upon delivery to ensure the order is received.  

Discrepancy in Order 

Hardy Paw must be contacted regarding any discrepancies or damage to your nonprescription order within 48 hours of receipt. Please do not dispose of any items unless instructed to do so. If this process is not followed, it may interfere with our ability to rectify the issue. 

Shipping to PO Boxes or APO/FPO 

All orders being shipped to PO Boxes, APOs (Army Post Office), or FPOs (Fleet Post Office) must be shipped via USPS. We ship most orders under 1lb via USPS standard mail. There are size and weight limits when shipping through USPS. If your order is not able to be shipped to a PO Box, you will be contacted for a physical address. Please make sure to provide the best contact information so we can reach you in a timely manner for a resolution.
