Protect wounds and control pests effectively with Elanco Catron IV Spray, specially formulated for swine, cattle, horses, sheep, and goats. This spray kills and repels screwworms, fleece worms, adult blowflies, face flies, and controls spinose ear ticks, offering comprehensive protection for your livestock.

Ingredients

• Active Ingredient: Permethrin 0.50%

• Other Ingredients: 99.50%

Directions For Use

• General: Shake well before use. Remove the protective cap. Hold the container upright and spray from 12 to 15 inches away unless otherwise specified. Keep birds away and cover fish tanks before spraying.

• Wound Treatment: Spray wounds thoroughly, allowing spray to penetrate maggot pockets. Apply over discharge to stop re-infestation. Do the treatment again every 5 to 7 days until the area is fully healed.

• Wound Protection: Spray directly onto wounds from castration, de-horning, docking, branding, wire and shear cuts, including newborn navels. Spray drainage areas to prevent fly infestations. Repeat every 5 to 7 days until wounds heal. Use additional disinfectants or antibiotics as needed for bacterial infections.

• Ear Tick Control:

• Spinose ear ticks: Spray downward directly into the ear.

• Gulf Coast ear ticks: Spray ticks on the ear’s outer surface. Repeat as necessary.

• Fly Protection: Spray cattle, goats, sheep, hogs, and horses for stable flies, horse flies, deer flies, face flies, house flies, horn flies, mosquitoes, and gnats. Spray for about 3 seconds on each side, focusing on the back, withers, and forelegs. Spray the face and head carefully for face flies, avoiding the eyes. Repeat as needed.

• Lice Control:

• Blood-sucking lice: Apply spray using a stiff brush to infested areas; repeat every 3 weeks if needed.

• Poultry lice: Spray walls, nests, roosts, or cages; then fine mist over birds.

• Swine Restriction: Do not ship animals for slaughter within 5 days of the last treatment.

Precautions and Restrictions

• Using this product inconsistently with its labeling is illegal. 

• Avoid entering treated areas until the spray is dry.

• Only protected handlers may be in the area during application (except when applying to livestock).

• Avoid breathing vapors, spray mist, or dust.

• Do not apply when food or feed is present. Cover or remove food preparation surfaces and equipment.

• Avoid contamination of sewers, drains, water bodies, or aquatic habitats.

• In dairy barns, close milk bulk tank lids and remove or cover milking equipment.

• Not intended for use on indoor residential surfaces in broadcast applications. 

• Avoid applying during rain or water to the point of runoff.

• Not to be used in commercial misting systems.

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

Applicators and handlers must wear:

• Coveralls over a short-sleeved shirt and pants.

• Chemical-resistant footwear and socks.

• Chemical-free gloves made of barrier laminate, nitrile rubber, neoprene rubber, or Viton.

Follow manufacturer instructions for cleaning or disposing of PPE. Wash your hands before eating or drinking. Remove contaminated clothing promptly and wash thoroughly.

Environmental Hazards

• Extremely toxic to aquatic life, avoid applying near water or where runoff can occur.

• Do not contaminate water when disposing of equipment, such as wash water.

• Highly toxic to bees; avoid application on blooming crops or weeds during bee activity.

Physical and Chemical Hazards

• Contents under pressure; do not expose to heat or puncture.

• Do not store or transport below 32°F. Exposure to temperatures above 130°F can cause bursting.

Storage

• Store in a cool, dry place. 

• Avoid freezing.
