Zoo Med Betta Banquet 7 Day Time Release Feeding Block - FAQs
Can you use these if there is no filter in the tank? What size tank can be used with these?
These can be used with a non-filtered tank. They can be used in a variety of sized tanks made for Betta fish and last one week.
Can you use this with other types of fish like a gold fish?
These banquet blocks are only intended to be used with Betta fish and Tropical freshwater.
If you only go away for a few days can you take the remainder of the block out and let it dry and use it another time?
The blocks when they are placed in the water start to dissolve. When you get home if it is not fully dissolved and you take it out it will be very soft and may not dry out well enough to use it again. It is recommended using a new block and throwing that one away.
Do these float or sink to the bottom of the tank?
The blocks sink to the bottom of the tank.
I have a sick betta who is getting better but still will not eat. Would these be a good option to regular food at this time? I'm wondering if they dissolve small enough that he might get some nutrition while swimming around.
We recommend consulting an Aquatic Specialist to see what would be a good fit for your fish.
