Telmisartan works with other drugs to address high blood pressure (hypertension) or protein in the urine (proteinuria). It falls under the category of ARBs (angiotensin-II receptor blockers). Telmisartan helps bolster their blood pressure, cardiovascular health, kidney function, and manage hypertension and stroke prevention.
