Product Description

Sodium bicarbonate is used to treat respiratory acidosis resulting from carbon dioxide retention and metabolic acidosis resulting from acid metabolite accumulation. It may also be used to treat acid indigestion and other conditions by neutralizing excess acid in the stomach. Sodium bicarbonate can be used to treat metabolic acidosis in dogs and cats. 

Recommended Dosage

Use as directed by your veterinarian. 

Possible side effects may include: frequent urge to urinate, loss of appetite, nausea or vomiting, slow breathing.

Storage Instructions

Store at a temperature between 59°F - 86°F. Avoid freezing.
