Timolol Maleate Ophthalmic Solution 0.5%

Timolol is a prescription medication used to decrease pressure in the eye. Veterinarians frequently prescribe Timolol for glaucoma as it reduces intraocular pressure.Glaucoma is caused by excessive pressure of the eyeball and is a result of the eye not being able to properly drain water and other fluids through the tear ducts and other means.Timolol works by decreasing the amount of fluid in the eye, thereby lowering the pressure and reducing the effects of glaucoma.

Ingredients

Timolol maleate, Monobasic and dibasic sodium phosphate, sodium chloride, sodium hydroxide (to adjust pH) and water for injection. Benzalkonium chloride 0.01% added as preservative.
