Product Description

ReBalance Antiprotozoal Oral Suspension treats Equine Protozoal Myeloencephalitis (EPM) in horses. It combines sulfadiazine and pyrimethamine to fight infection, support neurologic health, and be easily administered once daily as directed by a veterinarian.

How to Use

Dosage & Administration Instructions

  • Administer 4mL per 110 lb (50 kg) of body weight once daily.
  • Continue for 90 to 270 days based on clinical response.
  • Give at least one hour before hay or grain is offered.
  • Use a dosing syringe to place the dose at the back of the tongue.
  • Always shake the suspension thoroughly before each use.

Precautions

  • For horses only and is not approved for human use or consumption.
  • Confirm EPM diagnosis before beginning treatment in horses.
  • Perform monthly CBC to check for bone marrow suppression.
  • Worsened neurologic signs may occur early in the treatment.
  • Safety in pregnant, lactating, or breeding horses is unknown.

Possible Side Effects

  • Rare cases of diarrhea or vomiting.
  • Possible in sensitive horses.
  • Excessive calming effect if overdosed.

Storage Instructions 

  • Keep the product stored at a temperature within the range of 20°C to a maximum of 25°C (68°F to 77°F). 
  • Allowable variations between 15°C and 30°C (59°F to 86°F).
  • Protect the product from exposure to freezing temperatures.
