Why is the Nobivac Puppy-DPv vaccine important to my puppy?
It provides early and critical protection against Distemper and Parvovirus, both contagious and potentially deadly in young puppies.
How often should my puppy receive the Nobivac Puppy-DPv vaccine?
The vaccination of puppies for the first time should be started at 4 weeks, later with boosters every 3-4 weeks until they grow up to 16 weeks minimum.
Dosage & Administration:
Transfer the contents of the sterile diluent vial to the Nobivac Puppy-DPv vial aseptically. Mix gently until dissolved. Inject one dose (1mL) subcutaneously or intramuscularly. The initial dose may be given at 4 weeks of age or older. Repeat dose 3 to 4 weeks later. Two doses are required for primary immunization.
The presence of maternal antibodies is known to interfere with the development of active immunity in dogs and additional boosters will be required in most young animals. Historically, annual revaccination has been recommended for this product. The need for this booster has not been established. For more information on revaccination frequency, in general, or in the face of maternal antibodies, consult your veterinarian or the manufacturer.
Precautions:
- Store at 2° - 8°C (35°-46°F).

- The use of a biological product may produce anaphylaxis and/or other inflammatory immune-mediated hypersensitivity reactions. Antidote: Epinephrine, corticosteroids, and antihistamines may all be indicated depending on the nature and severity of the reaction.
- The age at which maternal antibody for canine parvovirus no longer interferes with the development of active immunity varies according to the bitch’s titer and the number of colostral antibodies absorbed by the puppy.

- Canine Distemper Virus
- Canine Parvovirus
How is the vaccine administered?
The Nobivac Puppy-DPv Vaccine is administered subcutaneously by a properly licensed veterinarian.
What age should be vaccinated?
Puppies: The first vaccine can be administered as early as 4 weeks of age, then repeated every 3-4 weeks until at least 16 weeks of age.

Most puppies take it well, but mild side effects such as temporary lethargy, mild fever, or soreness at the injection site may occur. Severe reactions are rare but should be reported to a veterinarian.
Could this vaccine be administered to immunocompromised or pregnant dogs?
Vaccination during pregnancy and states of immunity depression are generally best performed under veterinary consultation since the use of live virus vaccinations in these subjects is of grave concern.
