FAQ

What is Panacur Equine Paste 10%?

Panacur Equine Paste 10% is a broad-spectrum dewormer of horses. It contains fenbendazole as the active ingredient, a chemical agent that treats many types of internal parasites such as large and small strongyles, pinworms, and roundworms.

Can Panacur be used on pregnant mares?

Panacur can be safely used in pregnant mares. It's always a good idea to check with your veterinarian before giving any pregnant animal medication.

How often should I deworm my horse with Panacur?

Generally, deworming is advised in 6- to 8-week intervals, which can be modified based on the age and health of your horse and his living circumstances. Regular fecal exams conducted by your veterinarian can highlight the exact deworming schedule for your horse.

Does Panacur work on all types of worms?

Panacur is a broad-spectrum anthelminthic, meaning it covers a wide range of internal parasites but may not cover them all. As such, for example, its effectiveness against certain tapeworms is lower. Work with your veterinarian on implementing a broad deworming program that suits your horse best.

How is Panacur stored?

Panacur Equine Paste should be stored in a cool, dry place and protected from direct sunlight. Keep it out of the reach of children and animals.

Can I use Panacur on other livestock or pets?

Panacur is specifically formulated for equine use. Though fenbendazole is used in other animals, consult your veterinarian for appropriate products and dosages for other livestock or pets.
