Anipryl (selegiline) Tablets for Dogs
Anipryl (selegiline HCl / L-deprenyl HCl) tablets are indicated for the control of clinical signs associated with canine cognitive dysfunction syndrome (CDS) and control of clinical signs associated with uncomplicated canine pituitary dependent hyperadrenocorticism (PDH).
CDS is a condition that affects an older dog's mental abilities and behavior, often resulting in disorientation, changes in activity level, and altered interactions with family members. Anipryl has been proven to effectively treat these symptoms in clinical trials, showing significant improvement in sleeping patterns, housetraining, and activity levels after just 4 weeks of treatment.
- Indicated for the control of signs associated with canine Cognitive Dysfunction syndrome (CDS) and control of uncomplicated pituitary dependent hyperadrenocorticism (PDH)
- Is a selective monoamine oxidase -B inhibitor, which could enhance catecholamine neuronactivity and increases dopamine levels in dogs.
- Can be given with food.
