At what frequency should horses be given the Prestige 3 + WNV vaccine?
Horses are owed an initial two-dose series, given 3-4 weeks apart, and then annual boosters. Those horses in high-exposure circumstances or horses that travel regularly may also require twice-a-year boosters based on veterinary consultation.
Is Prestige 3 + WNV compatible with other equine vaccines?
Yes! Prestige 3 + WNV can be administered in conjunction with Equine Influenza, Equine Herpesvirus (EHV-1/4), and Rabies vaccinations as part of a comprehensive equine vaccination program. Always consult with a veterinarian for the optimal vaccination program.
Directions for Use:
For primary vaccination aseptically administer 1 mL intramuscularly, and repeat with a single dose in 3 - 4 weeks. Historically, annual revaccination with this product has been recommended. The need for this booster has not been established. The presence of maternal antibodies is known to interfere with the development of active immunity in foals and additional boosters will be required in most young animals. For more information on revaccination frequency consult your veterinarian.
Cautions:
Store at 2°-8°C (35°-46°F). Shake well before using. Use entire contents when first opened. Do not mix with other products. This product has not been tested in pregnant animals. Do not vaccinate within 21 days before slaughter. Inject deep into the muscle only. Local reactions may occur at the injection sites in vaccinates, and most of these reactions resolve in 3 to 7 days following vaccination. Systemic reactions may also occur in animals following vaccination. If an allergic reaction occurs, treat it with epinephrine. Care should be used to avoid injecting your fingers, hands, or other body parts. Accidental injection can cause serious local reactions. In case of human exposure, contact a physician.

- Eastern Equine Encephalomyelitis (EEE)
- Western Equine Encephalomyelitis (WEE)
- Tetanus
- West Nile Virus (WNV)
Which horses should receive this vaccine?
All healthy horses should receive this vaccine, especially those living in or traveling to areas where mosquitoes are prevalent, as WNV, EEE, and WEE are all transmitted by mosquitoes.
At what age does a horse get the Prestige 3 + WNV vaccine?
Foals need to get their initial dose at 4-6 months of age, with a booster 3-4 weeks afterward.
Adult horses need to get annual boosters, with twice-a-year boosters suggested for high-risk areas.

Yes. After the initial series, annual boosters are recommended. Horses in high-risk areas with heavy mosquito exposure may require semi-annual boosters for WNV protection.
