Bordetella Prevention for Dogs | TruCan B Oral Vaccine

TruCan B is meant for oral delivery. It provides completely safe and effective oral immunization in dogs against Bordetella bronchiseptica the chief agent causing the aforementioned disease-leading complex known as canine infectious respiratory disease complex commonly referred to as kennel cough. This vaccine protects without needles or painful injections. It delivers localized immunity in very rapid action in the organized respiratory tract of such kind which is better suited for puppies and adult dogs at risk of high infections in areas in boarding facilities, dog parks, and daycare centers.

Benefits

  • Protects Against Kennel Cough – Decreased risk in the dog population for Bordetella bronchiseptica infections.
  • Oral Administration – Outcomes that are clear from a needle-free, stress-free, and easy dose to be delivered orally.
  • Fast-Acting and Long-Lasting – The localized immunity to the respiratory tract produces very rapid protection.
  • Perfect For Social And Boarding Dogs – Includes recommendations for boarding, daycare, dog parks, training, and shelters.
  • Safe in Puppies and Adults – By 8 weeks of age you can have an annual booster for future protection.

The TruCan B (Oral) vaccine is always preferred over an injectable Bordetella vaccine?

The oral vaccine develops immunity much faster as it delivers the vaccine directly to the respiratory tract where Bordetella infections would be established. It does not use a needle either, thus making it less stressful for most dogs.

What is the form of protection offered by the TruCan B (Oral) Vaccine?

It helps in the prevention of Bordetella bronchiseptica infection in dogs. This organism is the main causative agent of kennel cough, a contagious infection of the respiratory tract.

What is the administration route for this vaccine?

The TruCan B vaccine is given orally; therefore, it is a needle-free alternative to injectable or intranasal Bordetella vaccines.

At what age should puppies be vaccinated with this vaccine?

Puppies can be first vaccinated as early as 7 weeks to offer immunity against Bordetella.

Why is this vaccine important for dogs in social setups?

Bordetella spreads easily in environments such as boarding facilities, dog daycare, grooming, training classes, and dog parks. Vaccination is used to stem the spread of the disease.

Any side effects from this vaccine?

Most dogs have no problems; however, some might cough mildly, sneeze, or become a bit lethargic after giving the vaccine. Severe reactions occur rarely and should be reported to the veterinarian.

How soon does this vaccine provide protection?

It starts developing immunity after a few days, but maximum protection may not be afforded for about one to two weeks; therefore, vaccinate in advance of any probable exposure.
