Simparica Trio chewable tablet is a once-monthly chewable that combines three proven actives (sarolaner, moxidectin, pyrantel embonate) to protect dogs 8 weeks and older. This chewable tablet protects dogs weighing 44.1–88 lbs against fleas, ticks, heartworm, roundworms, and hookworms. It also helps prevent flea-tapeworm infections by killing the vector fleas before they can transmit the disease.

Dosage and Administration Instructions 

• Monthly Oral Administration: Simparica Trio should be administered orally once a month to maintain parasite control in dogs.
• Recommended Minimum Dose: Minimum dose is 0.54 mg/lb (1.2 mg/kg) sarolaner, 0.011 mg/lb (24 µg/kg) moxidectin, and 2.27 mg/lb (5 mg/kg) pyrantel (as pamoate salt) for best results.
• With or Without Food: Simparica Trio can be given with or without food, so you can provide it at whatever time and with whatever food your dog prefers.
• Ensure the Dog Eats the Whole Tablet: Ensure the dog eats the whole tablet so that no part of the dose is lost or refused.
• Missed Dose: If a monthly dose is missed, administer Simparica Trio immediately and return to your regular schedule as soon as possible.

Precautions

• Neurologic Adverse Reactions: Sarolaner in Simparica Trio belongs to the isoxazoline class, associated with neurologic adverse reactions like tremors and seizures. 
• Risk of Seizures: Seizures have occurred in dogs treated with isoxazoline drugs, even those without seizure histories. 
• Treatment for Infected Dogs: If a dog tests positive for heartworms, treat with an adulticide before starting Simparica Trio. 
• Limitation Against Adult Heartworms: Simparica Trio is ineffective against adult heartworms, so it should only be used preventively.
• Use in Breeding, or Pregnant\ Dogs: The safety of Simparica Trio in breeding, pregnant, or lactating dogs has not been evaluated; caution is advised. 
• Storage Conditions: Simparica Trio should be stored at or below 30°C (86°F) to maintain proper effectiveness.
