2-Month Flea, Tick, Heartworm and Worm Protection for Medium Cats
Product Description
Bravecto Plus Topical Solution (Blue Box) is an FDA-approved, prescription-only spot-on for cats and kittens 6 months or older weighing 6.2 to 13.8 lbs. Each tube pairs fluralaner with moxidectin to deliver 5-in-1 parasite protection in a single dose every 8 weeks. Fleas, ticks, heartworm disease, roundworms, and hookworms are all addressed with one application dosed every 2 months, making it a practical all-round solution for medium cats.
Benefits
- 2-Month Protection per Dose: One application keeps your medium cat protected for a full 8 weeks, taking the pressure off monthly dosing schedules.
- Kills Fleas and Prevents Infestations: Treats and prevents Ctenocephalides felis flea infestations for 2 months, stopping the flea life cycle in its tracks.
- Tick Control: Keeps black-legged ticks (Ixodes scapularis), American dog ticks (Dermacentor variabilis), Asian longhorned ticks, and Gulf Coast ticks under control for 2 months.
- Heartworm Prevention: Moxidectin blocks Dirofilaria immitis from causing heartworm disease when applied consistently at 2-month intervals.
- Treats Roundworms and Hookworms: Tackles Toxocara cati roundworms and Ancylostoma tubaeforme hookworms at both larval and adult stages.
- No-Spill Applicator: The Twist'n'Use applicator makes home dosing clean and simple without any wasted product or mess.
- Reduces Dosing Frequency: The 8-week protection window means your cat needs fewer treatment days per year, which can make staying on track much easier.

How to Use
Directions for Use
- Prescription Required: Federal law limits this product to use by or on the order of a licensed veterinarian only.
- Apply Every 2 Months: Give one topical dose every 2 months, delivering a minimum of 18.2 mg/lb fluralaner and 0.9 mg/lb moxidectin per application.
- Wear Gloves: Put gloves on before starting and follow up with a proper soap and water wash on your hands and any skin that touched the product when done.
- Open the Tube Correctly: Hold the tube upright with the cap tip facing up and rotate it one full turn to break the seal; the cap stays on throughout the application.
- Position Your Cat: Your cat should be standing or lying flat with their back level and horizontal before you begin applying.
- Apply at the Base of the Skull: Separate the fur at the base of the skull, press the tube tip firmly onto the exposed skin, and squeeze gently to release the solution.
- Avoid Run-Off: Take care not to squeeze too much into one spot; if any runs off, apply whatever remains just behind the first application point along the backline.
- Switching Products: Start Bravecto Plus no later than 30 days after your cat's last dose of the previous monthly heartworm preventive.
- Open Pouch Just Before Use: Only remove the tube from its sealed foil pouch at the moment of application to keep it protected from moisture.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q1: What does Bravecto Plus Topical Solution (Blue Box) treat and prevent in medium cats?
Ans: Bravecto Plus Blue Box kills adult fleas, prevents flea infestations, controls four tick species, prevents heartworm disease, and treats roundworms and hookworms from a single dose every 2 months. It suits cats and kittens at least 6 months old weighing 6.2 to 13.8 lbs.
Q2: How does Bravecto Plus differ from regular Bravecto for medium cats?
Ans: Regular Bravecto contains only fluralaner and protects against fleas and ticks for 12 weeks. Bravecto Plus adds moxidectin, bringing in heartworm prevention and intestinal worm treatment on a 2-month schedule. It also covers additional tick species including Gulf Coast ticks not included in regular Bravecto.
Q3: How does the Blue Box differ from the Green Box?
Ans: The Blue Box holds 250 mg of fluralaner and 12.5 mg of moxidectin for medium cats in the 6.2 to 13.8 lb range. The Green Box contains 112.5 mg of fluralaner and 5.6 mg of moxidectin for smaller cats. Both deliver the same 5-in-1 protection; always pick the tube that best matches your cat's current body weight.
Q4: Can Bravecto Plus be used in heartworm-positive medium cats?
Ans: Bravecto Plus can be used cautiously in heartworm-positive cats, but it does not treat existing adult heartworm infections. Always test your cat before starting and speak to your veterinarian before using this product in any cat already confirmed to have heartworm disease.
Q5: Is Bravecto Plus safe for pregnant or breeding medium cats?
Ans: Safety in breeding, pregnant, or lactating cats has not been established. If your medium cat is pregnant, nursing, or being used for breeding, always check with your veterinarian before starting any new parasite treatment that includes fluralaner and moxidectin.
